At this difficult time, there is a silver lining – the postponement of IR35 Regs until April 2021. You will likely have already heard the news but in case you have not, the government made an announcement to postpone the implementation of reforms to IR35 tax rules in the private sector by one year, in a bid to protect the economy against the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking at the Budget Debate in the House of Commons, Chief Secretary to the Treasury Steve Barclay, announced the reforms to IR35 off-payroll working rules would now come into effect on 6 April 2021. For you as an agency, this means that there is no longer a pressing need to address the implications of IR35 in time for next month. Alas some good news.
However, we must also not be complacent. To that end, ETZ will be rolling out an IR35 solution by this summer, which will be very attractive to you and your candidates, so watch this space.
We are here to support you and therefore for us it is business as usual. Here at ETZ we are remaining alert to any governmental direction for tackling the coronavirus pandemic.
Having taken the guidance into account, we have carefully and effectively taken measures to ensure continuity of our service to you by implementing a ‘working from home’ scheme. All our staff have shown their real dedication in continuing to support you during this difficult time.
If you have any support queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our team is here for you.
Stay safe.
Warm regards,
Solange
