London-based Venari, a growing engineering recruitment specialist which services some of the world’s leading organisations. The agency provides mid-range to board level talent across a variety of sectors for organisations of any size – from small start-ups to multinational blue-chips.
The company has built a substantial network of professionals for every level of expertise across the technology, manufacturing, chemicals, services, energy, construction, IT, consumer and medical sectors. The business focuses on delivering highly skilled professionals on a permanent, contract and executive basis.
Jag Manku, Managing Partner at Venari, says: “We set up in 2018 with a clear focus on engineering across a number of key segments and niches, such as electronics, telecommunications, microwave test equipment and radio communication systems.”
“We primarily recruit engineering roles, but also for sales and operations as well. With the very strong client relationships we’ve established, we’re looking to open up further and take more people on to really develop it further from here.”
Venari started using ETZ in 2019, about a year after the agency opened up. One option was to continue with a manual process using Excel, but we decided to look at online timesheets.
Jag Manku says: “My partner has some experience of timesheet systems and suggested I take a look at ETZ for its convenience. It seemed very easy, simple and straightforward to use.”
He continues: “There’s a whole easy flow to it that makes the admin side of life quite simple. It’s easy to add a new client and more candidates. But I think the element that really does it for me is generating invoices.”
“I log in, click the timesheet authorisation pop up, and the invoice is done. At the end of the month, ETZ lets me group the invoices for each client, which simplifies things enormously, because it’s just like sending them one invoice” says Jag Manku.

Jag Manku says, “When we first started, implementation was genuinely super easy. Whenever I’ve spoken to candidates, they find ETZ really simple. Just log in, get the timesheet done, and that’s it. It’s been complaint free!”
“Support is also genuinely, absolutely brilliant. I’m at total ease knowing that whatever issue I encounter, or when I’m struggling to understand how to do something new, I can call and usually get an instant outcome,” says Jag Manku.
He continues: “Sometimes, when it’s an important issue and I’m up against the clock, a support specialist will do a task for me and then go through how to do it later on, when we have more time. The support team has been phenomenal and is so quick and responsive. It’s reassuring to know that they are literally on hand.”
